The Wave Silent Disco – West Palm

Have you heard of a Silent Disco? A traditional gathering where attendees wear headphones to listen to different channels of music and socialize. The theory is to hold a party but maintain a low noise level. People dance, hang-out and talk while wearing headphones. The Wave Silent Disco – West Palm is a version of a traditional silent disco but better! It is a guided dance journey for all ages.

The Wave Silent Disco – West Palm combines music and movement for a mindful experience like no other. The Wave Silent Disco is about movement; not yoga or a “class” but, more of a personal experience. During the event the group is facilitated by a leader who guides you through a series of stretching and movement which is coordinated to music streamed into your headphones. You can do as little or as much as you choose. The experience is designed to foster connection and wellness, reduce stress, reflect and reconnect with nature, your body and community.

The events are usually held on the beach, however; as the events continue to grow, they are held in various parks and locations throughout South Florida. The WAVE also offers full-service productions with a DJ, headset set up with optional add-ons. A WAVE staff member will remain on site to ensure the event runs smoothly. All you have to do is sit back and enjoy the FUN.

The WAVE also donates a portion of the proceeds from every event to ALMA, a non-profit organization devoted to addressing loneliness and enhancing quality of life for seniors through movement and music programming. The Wave Silent Disco was founded by Julia Grace Vishnwpolsky, MA, LPCC, R-DMT a licensed psychotherapist, registered Dance Movement Therapist, and founder of The Wave Movement.
